What is your opinion of a LEADER? Explain it with your favorite character?

  1. ”A leader wishes to do what people needs but not what people desire”
This sentence simply says about a leader or a political ruler whoever is in apex position of a nation may not become a true leader unless he is done with his duties such as security & safety of his people and development of the nation.
On 7th October 2016, Kaci Kullmann Five, the chairwoman of the committee of Nobel Prize has announced the peace prize to the Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos. for pursuing a deal to end 52 years of conflict with a leftist rebel group, the longest-running war in the Americas, just five days after Colombians rejected the agreement in a shocking referendum result.
The long conflict against rebels made people suffer. The rebels committed crimes that many Colombians could not forgive. But the failure of the peace deal leaves big questions about what will happen to the rebel fighters next. Many of them are children who were abducted by the rebels and have known only war.

Though the majority Colombians had rejected for peace through votes. But finally the president set a committee and within five days of results had signed the ceremony.

  2. Leader:A leader is a person who influences a group of people towards achievement of goals. He is one who goes first & leads by examples, so that others are motivated to follow him.To be a leader,a person must have a deep-rooted commitment to the goal that he will strive to achieve it even if nobody follows him.
My favourite character about leadership is Gandhiji.
We know that wat were the circumstances which led to a foreign educated advocate,Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, become the Father of nation of India as one of most inspirational leaders ever in the history of world.

  3. Leadership is setting a new direction or vision for a group that they follow, ie: a leader is the spearhead for that new direction. Management controls or directs people/resources in a group according to principles or values that have been established.

  4. Many people believe that leadership is simply being the first, biggest or most powerful. Leadership in organizations has a different and more meaningful definition. Very simply put, a leader is interpreted as someone who sets direction in an effort and influences people to follow that direction -- the people can be oneself, another individual, a group, an organization or a community. How they set that direction and influence people depends on a variety of factors that we'll consider later on below

  6. No matter how good you think you are as a leader, my goodness, the people around you will have all kinds of ideas for how you can get better. So for me, the most fundamental thing about leadership is to have the humility to continue to get feedback and to try to get better - because your job is to try to help everybody else get better.

  7. If your actions anspire others to dream more, learn more,do more and becomes more, you are a leader.
Leadership is not about a life or a designation.
Leadership skills are an essential component in positioning executives to make thoughtful decisions about their organization's mission and goals, and properly allocate resources to acheive those directives

  8. I would like to share my idea on leader like , to compare between leaders and managers is that leaders have people follow them while managers have people who work for them.

A successful business owner needs to be both a strong leader and manager to get their team on board to follow them towards their vision of success. Leadership is about getting people to understand and believe in your vision and to work with you to achieve your goals while managing is more about administering and making sure the day-to-day things are happening as they should.

WHILE THERE ARE MANY TRAITS THAT MAKE UP A STRONG LEADER, SOME OF THE KEY CHARACTERISTICS ARE:

Honesty & Integrity: are crucial to get your people to believe you and buy in to the journey you are taking them on
Vision: know where you are, where you want to go and enroll your team in charting a path for the future
Inspiration: inspire your team to be all they can by making sure they understand their role in the bigger picture
Ability to Challenge: do not be afraid to challenge the status quo, do things differently and have the courage to think outside the box
Communication Skills: keep your team informed of the journey, where you are, where you are heading and share any roadblocks you may encounter along the way

  9. A leader is a person who have the authority to tell a group of people to do a particular work or what to do. A leader is one who gets others to take action towards a common goal. A leader must possess qualities like confidence, self awareness, belief in others, good communication... Etc. A leader instead of commanding on others he must encourage his peer members to achieve their goal.

  10. Hi,
According to me, LEADER is a person who creates leaders other than followers.
Leaders should have a ability to empower others towards the positive attitude.
Leaders should be the best examples for inspiration to everyone which influences others by never giveup in their lives.
Leaders should spends their time for solving problems but not the excuses.
Some of the important characters every leader must have :
1)ROLE MODEL: live values and lead by an example by keep learning.
2)INSPIRER : create an inspiring vision and set correct directions by energizing people in all the times.
3)ENABLER : helps people grow and empowers others and should build synergies
4)ACHEIVER: focus on results and should discover the opportunities to lead change

    Thank you.
